Infant & Toddler Programs

Infant Program

Our infant program emphasizes individualized care. Consistency, and warmth and security in an environment that stimulates the senses. This is accomplished by consistent adult care and developmentally appropriate practices.

We operate two infant centers with a total capacity for twenty-four children between the ages of six weeks and eighteen months.

Our younger infant room has a capacity for twelve infants from six weeks to approximately twelve months. The staff to child ratio is 1:4 or 3:12. Infants in this room are all on their own personalized schedules for eating, sleeping and play.

Each infant in our program has his/her own crib. We provide bed linens and bumper pads.

Children move to the older infant room at approximately twelve months, or developmentally when they are close to walking, taking fewer naps and eating table food. This room is licensed for twelve infants up to eighteen months. The staff to child radio is 1:4 or 3:13 during A.M. hour; 1:5 or 2:12 during P.M. hours.

Our older infant room features enclosed play areas to ensure the safety of your infant as well as an open area for exploration by your child as he/she learns to walk. The schedule in this room includes a visit to the large muscle room daily as well as outside play in their enclosed playground. Art, music, language development, and social skills are an integral part of the program for this age group.

Both infant rooms provide parents with a daily report highlighting their infants day. Information regarding feedings, naps, diaper changes and activities will be recorded.

Toddler Program

Toddler Program

Our toddler center has a total capacity for twenty-one children between the ages of 18 to 36 months. The staff to child ratio is 1:7. We have three groups of seven children in our toddler center.

The toddler program also includes a transitioning toddler class of 8 children who are potty trained, and between the ages of 30 to 36 months. This group is located in our pre school area.

Developmental care in our toddler program meets the special needs of the growing two year old for love, guidance and learning. Our program develops the intellectual curiosity, thinking and talking skills, physical and manipulative skills - all integral parts of the growth of this special age.

Our curriculum includes both teacher directed and child directed activities which enhance self esteem and foster independence.
